THE ULTIMATE DEMAGOGUE

What is a Demagogue? It is a leader who uses the passions or prejudices of the populace for his own interests. He develops lies that eventually become so believable that the lie becomes "truth." According to the dictionary, the definition of a demagogue is: "A popular leader/speaker lacking sound moral principles as a person." Does this sounds like a match for President Clinton?
The world has seen some good examples of a demagogue: Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin. Today we call it "spin." A few years back it was called "propaganda." Hitler had the best spin doctors ever. He was a master demagogue. He lied to the British and French Prime Ministers and they trusted him! Do you remember the Nonagression Pact? This was one of the world's best "spins." Hitler signed a peace treaty and non-attack pact with Stalin. Stalin trusted Hitler - amazing ... one liar trusting another liar. So what happened? After about one week Hitler turned around and attacked an unprepared Russia!
Stalin was a master at "spin" for his communist regime. The 1937 census was supposed to show a huge increase in population in order to prove how well the system was working. When the census showed only a 7% growth, Stalin created his own propaganda and had everyone connected with the census executed! How could the population grow when he had more people killed every year than were born? Historians estimate that between 1924 and 1953 - the years of the Stalin regime - over 35 million people were killed or perished in the gulags (concentration camps).
Is Bill Clinton working on becoming the greatest demagogue of all time? Do you remember when he wagged his finger at you in January, 1998, telling you he "never had sexual relations with that woman ... Miss Lewinsky?" And his wife was at his side whining about a "right wing conspiracy?" It almost worked. For seven months the President almost convinced everybody that there was no Monica Lewinsky -- the democrats, his staff, his cabinet, and most of the country. And he continued with the spin that there was no sex between him and Monica Lewinsky.
Clinton's lawyers really did him in ..... lawyer to lawyer! But he almost got away with it. Here is one of the best examples of a Demagogue at work:
How Good Are The Polls????
Let's analyze the picture:
- Polls consist only of Democrats and Republicans who vote.
- According to the latest numbers 60% of the people don't vote which means their opinion is not accounted for.
- Out of the 40% of people who vote, 25% belong to another party such as Libertarians, the Reform Party, the Green Party, and others.
Let's take a sample of 10,000 people and analyze it using the numbers above:
- 6,000 don't vote. They reason they don't vote is because they cannot agree with Republicans or Democrats. Therefore, their sample vote would be "nay."
- 4,000 vote. But 25% of them, that's 1,000 of this sample, vote for candidates of parties OTHER than the Republican or Democratic parties. We can presume their vote would also be "nay."
That leaves only 3,000 voters from which the polls are taken. Out of these 3,000 people, 35% are against Clinton, 65% are for Clinton. In numbers it is 1,050 against Clinton, and 1,950 for Clinton.
Therefore, in reality, using a mathematical configuration about polls, taking all of the above into consideration,
and
a whopping 80.5% are against Clinton (8,050 people).
So, where the polls show Clinton's approval at 65%, it really is 80.5% disapproval. These numbers remain the same no matter when the poll is taken because the 80.5% represent people who DON'T VOTE.
In order to correct the polls, you would have to cover all groups of voters and non-voters and ALL political parties. Mathematically this seems to be correct.
However, the critical problem is that the polls are taken only from people who vote and no one hears from the majority of the people -- those who DON'T VOTE.
Therefore, the "spin" coming from the White House about the President's approval rating in 1998 was absolutely NOT TRUE!
Here is what the "Spin Doctors" don't tell you. Right now Bush is leading Gore in the Presidential race. Some polls have Bush ahead by 11 points, while other have him ahead by 4 points, and still others have the race in a dead heat. Let's look at the numbers with Bush having a 4 point lead. What does it mean?
Let's consider the polls as:
Let's consider this year is almost reality and that the numbers will be consistent with years before. 60% of the people are NOT going to vote. This means that out of 10,000 people: 4,000 will vote and 6,000 stay home because they don't like any candidate. The logic is that if they like a candidate, they would get out and vote. So, the "Spin Doctors" are doing their spin. They get their numbers from their own concocted polls which are a far cry from the real world becausethey don't take the reality of the country, the voting AND non-voting public into consideration.
Here again, the politicians and media think that you, the American People are stupid! Yes, it is stupid to listen and believe all the spin and lies. And are you going to continue to believe it all until something else comes out? The media expects you to and they will continue to keep you in the dark about the truth!
