Every buyer will need a minimum of $21,250. That's the minimum requirement for buyers with a 720+ FICO Score.
Buyers with a FICO Score between 700 and 720 will need a minimum of $42,250 in order to qualify.
If the average income is $40,000 and people are living paycheck-to-paycheck, how long will it take for the average family of four to save $42,250 or more for their new or first home? Most likely NEVER!
Americans are not savers. And with the huge inflation we see everywhere - even in the supermarket - saving $42,250 seems like an impossible dream. It certainly is!
Now, do the math on a $500,000 home! In some areas that price point is considered "entry level" for first time home buyers!!! The buyer is going to need a a hundred grand to get into a home.
